Much to the dismay of many homemakers, there are some houseplants which are sensitive and seem to die quickly, without much attention. When this happens, is there anything that can be done to revive the plant?

There are many reasons that the houseplant may have died in the first place. In most cases, the reason the houseplant dies is because it has been exposed to too much water or cold and even extreme heat without watering. Depending on the type of plant, it can take specialized fertilizer to encourage the plant to grow.

First, determine how the plant looks. Are there are any signs of life through the plant? In some cases there are small green pieces left on the plant and this can help to get the plant back on its feet and get growing.

New soil that is filled with nutrients can help to bring a plant to life, as well as regular watering. Be sure to check the label that comes with the plant to determine the plant’s particular needs for water, as every plant differs. Ensuring that enough water is given, as well as exposure to light can help to revive a dead houseplant!
